OLD MAN LUEDECKE: There's always room in this world for one more banjo-picking songwriter, especially when he's from Nova Scotia. Old Man Luedecke has got a nice turn of phrase and his songs have that old-time folk feel. He plays the Pepper Jack Cafe (38 King William St.) Wednesday at 7 p.m. before the open stage. $5.
FRED EAGLESMITH: One of Canada's best loved singer-songwriters is releasing a new CD this week called Tinderbox. It's already received rave reviews in prestigious publications like the Washington Post. He's performing a benefit concert Saturday for Port Dover's Lighthouse Theatre (at the Lighthouse). Show, 8 p.m. with silent auction at 6:30 p.m. 519-583-2221
MICHAEL SNOW, one of Canada's leading artists, is best known for the flying geese hanging in Toronto's Eaton Centre and those creatures on the side of the Rogers' Centre. As a musician, specializing in improvisational keyboards, he performs with Hamilton electronic composer Matt Boughner in a free concert Friday at Christ's Church Cathedral. 9 p.m.
