Spec will host forum on eldercare

(Jun 9, 2007)

Caregivers for elderly parents of seniors looking for answers to questions on their own situation can get help at a Hamilton Spectator forum on eldercare Tuesday evening.

The forum -- Full Circle, A Family Guide to Eldercare -- is free and will be held in The Hamilton Spectator auditorium at 44 Frid St. at 7:30 p.m.

Sharing their expertise navigating the myriad of eldercare services will be four panellists: Wendy Brawn of Catholic Family Services, Jane Meadus of Advocacy for the Elderly, Paul O'Kralka, CEO of St. Joseph's Villa, and Sherry Parsley, Hamilton branch client services director for the Hamilton, Niagara, Brant Community Care Access Centre.

Carmelina Prete, a Go section writer at The Spectator, will host the forum.

The event, which will be taped by Cable 14, is free, but space is limited and those wishing to attend must register in advance at 905-526-3535.
