Family friendly: Romantic : Jamaica It's no surprise that on an island with so many all-inclusive resorts, some are good for kids. Consider Beaches Boscobel, which had a major refurbishment in 2002, Breezes, FDR or one of the many other choices. Some have infant care as well as children's programs. The kids will enjoy novelty pools, snorkeling, golf-for-kids program and family activities such as magic shows; dancers and fire-eaters at night; activities vary between resorts so be sure to ask before you book. Jamaica can be perfect for couples if they choose an adults-only resort like Sandals or Couples. Of course, older couples should be aware there will be many young honeymooners. A very large island (4,244 square miles), Jamaica takes several trips to explore. It has beautiful mountains, waterfalls and flowers, with white sand beaches in the north and black sand in the south, and a lot of history. Jamaica was the place all-inclusive resorts were invented and it has a great selection, many with spas, some very romantic and exclusive. A good way to get off the all-inclusive resort is to go to a local market (although vendors can be pushy) or to a church service. |
