Grenada is a beautiful rolling, mountainous and green island. Expect fragrant spice trees (nutmeg, cloves, ginger, cinnamon and cocoa), tropical flowers, some very nice beaches, and picturesque towns with colourful Saturday markets and local festivals. In the interior of this volcanic island are cascading rivers and waterfalls, lush rainforests and a lovely mountain lake. You can also visit centuries-old spice plantations, rum distilleries and the attractive capital. Grenada has an old-Caribbean atmosphere, plus good hiking and diving.
